Professional BodyOn this website, the term
professional body means
• The Law Society of Scotland, or
• The Faculty of Advocates
PractitionerOn this web site, the term
practitioner includes
• a solicitor who is a member of The Law Society of Scotland, or
• an advocate who is a member of The Faculty of Advocates, or
• a conveyancing or executry practitioner regulated by the Law Society of Scotland, or
• any other body or person as further defined by
Section 46 of the 2007 ActLawyer memberOn this website, the term
lawyer member means a member of the SLCC who is
• a solicitor who is a member of The Law Society of Scotland, or
• an advocate who is a member of The Faculty of Advocates, or
• a conveyancing or executry practitioner regulated by the Law Society of Scotland, or
• any persons exercising a right to conduct litigation or a right of audience
Non-lawyer memberOn this website, the term
non-lawyer member means a member of the SLCC who does not fall within the term "lawyer member" above
